GCHS Students Volunteer at the Annual Port Hope Candlelight Festival

2024 Port Hope Candlelight Festival

The festive spirit was alive and shining bright at the Port Hope Candlelight Festival, and Globe Cambridge High School (GCHS) was proud to sponsor and support this wonderful community event. Our students played an active role as volunteers, assisting with candle lighting, helping maintain order, and contributing to the overall success of the event.

The Port Hope Candlelight Festival is a cherished annual tradition that transforms the town into a magical holiday wonderland. From November 29 to January 2, 2025, the town is aglow with twinkling lights and festive displays, bringing joy to residents and visitors alike.

As volunteers, our students were immersed in the heart of the celebration, interacting with the public and ensuring the event ran smoothly. Their dedication and enthusiasm were evident as they helped set the mood for this enchanting holiday experience.

At GCHS, we believe in the importance of community involvement and fostering a spirit of service in our students. By participating in events like the Candlelight Festival, our students not only gain valuable experience but also contribute to the festive atmosphere that makes Port Hope such a special place during the holiday season.
